Ingredients

SERVINGS: 4 Serving(s)
  • 2 heads cauliflower, cut into medium-size florets
  • Canola oil for frying
  • 2 cups finely grated Asiago cheese, I use Chapel Hill Creamery's
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Kosher salt

Instructions

Fill a 3-quart saucepan about 3-inches deep with oil. Over medium heat bring the temperature to 375 degrees. Make sure the cauliflower is dry, and then add handfuls to the oil. Fry until golden, about 5 - 7 minutes, and remove with a slotted spoon or spider. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle each batch with cheese, and after all the cauliflower is cooked, sprinkle with oregano and salt to taste. Remove to a platter and serve immediately.
